Day 3

12 HUGS, 4 children, 5 adults and 1 cow.

I am not sure how much joy I brought to the cow’s life as I am pretty sure he is used to hugs in his line of work, but all I kept thinking was how much fun this picture would be for my blog!  I really thought he would be the main focus of my blog today, but it turns out I was wrong.

Yes, I want to have fun with this blog, but ultimately my goal is spreading love and joy.  Shortly after the cow hug, I asked the carousel attendant at the mall for a hug because she so thoughtfully helped my son out when he was petrified of being on the ride.  It was quite nice and I hope she appreciated the gesture.

None of these hugs today could compare to the ultimate feeling of love I feel when hugging my friends.  Friends are such a special connection in your life.  They are people you choose to be in your life.  Family bonds are never broken so they have their own special meaning, but friends, well, they are your choice and it is important to cherish them as such.  Hugs are a great way to tell them how much you love them even if you are too shy or embarrassed to say the words out loud.  Next time you have the opportunity to hug your friends, don’t make it a quick obligatory hug.  Grab them, wrap your arms tight around them and squeeze the stuffing out of them.  Now, take a step back and relish in the smile that you have just placed on their face.

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
