6 HUGS, 2 children, 3 adults and one birthday girl.
I woke up this morning knowing I would not be leaving my house due to dangerous weather and panicked wondering where the inspiration for my blog post would come from. Well, I didn’t have to wait long. While watching my husband and 4 year old cuddle on the couch I took the opportunity to ask my son what makes him happy. His response? “Hugs and Kisses” Wow. Knowing we were witnessing a moment, my husband just looked at me and said, “Well, there’s your blog post”. Indeed.
Turns out a relaxing day at home was not in the cards for me. Shortly after this beautiful moment, I received an email that friends were getting together for a birthday celebration. So, after waiting out the storm, I joined them at a nearby restaurant. As I arrived, I hugged the birthday girl and another friend. A 3rd person was with them that I never met before, so I hugged her upon introduction. From her perspective, it was probably more of an attack. I was determined to give her a hug and share my love, but looking back now, I am pretty sure I frightened her. Thank goodness we had a whole dinner of getting to know each other so she could see that deep down, I really am harmless.
On a side note, I want to send my love and prayers to those affected by the severe weather in Raleigh and throughout the South.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
