Day 18 – Littlest Hug

11 HUGS, 2 children, 6 adults (husband, MRI technician, a new mom, a new dad, and new grandparents), 1 newborn

Today I was blessed with the opportunity to share my love with a very new member of life.  She had only graced her parents with her presence for 35 hours before I arrived.  She had a very rough start since leaving the comfort of her mother’s belly, so I had not anticipated seeing her.  I just wanted to hug her mom and dad and let them know that as first time parents they are already doing an amazing job.

When I arrived at the hospital, her mother asked  if I would like to see her.  Well, of course!  Then, while gazing upon her beautiful face in the intensive care unit, her mom asked if I wanted to hold her.  Oh, what a joy it is to hold something so precious.  She was a miracle to behold and I held her with all of the love and joy I possess in my being.  This little girl was blessed with parents who will adore and cherish her for the rest of their lives.  She will know hugs and will be lavished with them often.  What a gift to have.

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
