Day 28 – Shout Outs

8 HUGS, 4 children, 2 adults (1 husband, 1 friend)

Since starting this blog, I have received many comments about how it is affecting my readers.  Every time I receive these I know that I am accomplishing the mission that I set out to do, spread love.  It would have been enough just to hug others, but in writing this blog I am able to affect those of you that I do not know or am not close enough to hug.  I wanted to take the opportunity to share these comments.  I am keeping all names private.  Yell at me below if I leave you out or if you want me to add your blog/facebook/twitter handle to your comment.

I am enjoying reading your blog so much. I get so excited just to see who you hugged each day and how it impacted you. I do have to say that today’s post impacted me the most. What the lady at Red Cross told you about the tornadoes effecting the entire community is something I really never thought of but realized how true that is. (From Day 9 on 4/21)

Melinda…thanks for the follow. I think I’m going to learn something from you this year….I can’t wait to read you old posts….I think your hug quest will teach me alot…..my therapists tells me that you need 12 hugs a day…….I’m trying to get one….have a great day

Melinda I love your blog! It’s amazing how you are spreading joy to others! You deserve a hug for it! 😉 Here’s one (((((Hug)))))

You are a beautiful person, Melinda. I enjoy reading these posts. I’m just sad that I won’t have the opportunity to be one of the lucky recipients.  …And, you know, you inspire me to pass out my own random hugs. Unfortunately, if I were to ask the random person, I’m afraid I’d get an entirely different response that may very well involve mace. lol

love the blog!!

LOVING this!

I wish I lived closer to you! {hug} Mel – miss you! Feel free to drive over and hug my sister. She’s a great hugger!

Great start Mel! I think you’re on to something! …I will keep reading!

woohoooo LOVE IT

Hi there, Melinda! I love your passion for getting and giving hugs! Aw, the ones we get from our kids are the greatest. Most definitely. Keep posting about this noble deed of yours. I know I have much to learn. Ciao!

Hey thanks for following – following ya right back b/c you had me at “hug” LOL

I love hugs!! Even though I have three (now grown) boys they all know that Mum loves hugs and still hug me. They even did it when they were teenagers… except my youngest ( now 18 and left home) . He would tolerate a hug . I am going to have to go back and read all your posts now!! Happy hugging (((()))) – This comment was added to my Mother’s Day Post.  See Caitlin’s own hug story in the Your Stories tab.

My stepsister’s blog must be shared with my FB friends. It’s that great.

I feel that this blog was meant to be written.  I feel privileged that I was the one chosen to write it.

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.

  1. i just decided—I am plugging your blog at the end of my post this morning.
    Yesterday…i had four five hugs…
    friend at work,
    therapist
    husband
    son
    daughter

    I kind of like it.

  2. Sharon told me about this blog and I LOVE it. After your 365 days, you should compile your stories and publish them in a book. I laughed and cried….THANK YOU. I am glad you give my dear friend, Sharon and her family lots of hugs as I am not able as frequently as I would like 🙂

    • Thank you Michelle! Chris already mentioned the book idea, one of the things I love about this idea is the wonderment of where it will take me. Be ready when you come to visit because you will be required to hug more than Sharon and family.
