9 HUGS, 4 children, 4 adults (1 husband, 2 neighborhood friends, 1 Target employee)
When I went to Target, I was able to compose myself long enough to ask the check out person for a hug. I am so glad I did. Even though I was not feeling joyous, the act of hugging her spread the joy to both of us. I left feeling a little happier and calmer, until the screaming started again that is.
Earlier today I posted on my Facebook fan page this as my status, Today I need hugs! Can’t wait to go out and get some! I was already feeling the need for love sent my way. I shared this with one of my neighborhood friends and she looked at me and said, “Do you want a hug now?” With the most pathetic look I could muster I whined and nodded. “yes.” She came right over gave me a hug and said, I will even give you a big ‘Melinda Squeeze’. Thank you, thank you so much. I needed that.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
