Day 58 – Hug Influence?

6 HUGS, 2 children, 4 adults (1 husband, 3 neighborhood friends)

My favorite part of this blog experience so far? Hearing all of the stories about how my hugs have influenced others. People are reading my blog from as far away as Bahrain!

The ways that they have been influenced are many. Some are hugging more often, some are more aware of their hugs, some are more focused on the types of hugs they give. Some let me know in a more subtle way. They send me something they heard or read that made them think of me. I (my ego) would really love to think that it is me that is such a big influence, but I know better than that. It is the hugs. They speak for themselves. Sometimes we just need a gentle reminder of what is already inside of us.

I was doing a little research today on who is blogging about hugs. I have been and will continue to add hug blogs (or hug posts) to my Found Hugs page. A lot of them link hugging with fundraising. I love that idea and it is one that I have been tossing around to do during my year of hugs. I have so many ideas to do with my blog I just don’t know where to start, so…… I haven’t started any yet. Aaahhhh….. That ever happen to you? One thing at a time, one hug at a time, I will get everything done that I was meant to do.

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.

  1. yep—one thing at a time…I’m gradually learning.
The power of a hug, the human touch, even the virtual touch….
who would have ever known it could change the world….one hug at a time….happy night…

  2. I’ve been very very busy hugging many friends the last few days and have missed many posts. But in the back of my head, I was going – I need to read Mel’s posts! i need to catch up! And what a pleasant surprise that i came across this one! Yes, it has reached Bahrain, and here’s hoping this movement reaches alllllll over the world.
