10 HUGS, 7 children, 3 adults (1 husband, 2 neighborhood friends)
I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom. I do feel this gives me an advantage to be able to do a blog like this. At times though I am definitely at a disadvantage. Over the past week and the next couple of weeks you can call me daycare mommy (or crazy, either one works). I love having the free time as a stay at home mom to help out the neighbors with babysitting so they can do errands or reestablish their own career paths. However, the next few weeks will include a lot of kid hugs and not as many adult hugs. I anticipate being a little too tired to run my normal errands where I would typically get my adult hugs. (I know, right? Doesn’t look tiring at ALL!)
Tiring, but so fulfilling. I am so disappointed though. I actually had a picture showing the hugs that I got from them after, but I accidentally deleted it from my camera. Crap. Maybe next time. All of these kids (all 7 boys) happily give me hugs when they come in to my house. Even the one I was squeezing too tight (from a previous post). I actually got one from him today that was perhaps a full minute long. That is a LONG hug from anyone, but especially a 5 year old. Crazy? Maybe, but I love each one of these children as my own and look forward to the moments I have to spend with them.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
