Day 102 – Appreciation

7 HUGS, 2 children, 5 adults (1 husband, 3 neighborhood friends, 1 new friend at a flower shop)

Each moment that I have is a precious gift that I have been blessed with. I try to appreciate each one as such. This is not always an easy task. It’s easy when life delivers me a beautiful rainbow like the one I witnessed tonight. It’s during the storm that I work at reminding myself, “I appreciate this hard time because I know it will strengthen me.”

Hugs are an easy way of showing appreciation to those around me. Today I hugged my children to show appreciation for allowing me to shower them with unconditional love. I hugged my husband to show him appreciation for the unconditional love he gives me. I hugged one of my neighborhood friends to show appreciation for her non-judgmental support. I hugged the other two in appreciation of the women and mothers that they are. I hugged the new friend at the flower shop to show appreciation for her selfless decision to do community work, not for the money, but for the help she can give to others.

Appreciation is just one of many ways to show support and encouragement to others when helping them try to reach their unlimited potential. I believe we are all capable of greatness, we just can’t do it alone. I hope my hugs offer this support and encouragement to those that I encounter. I know that you provide me the support an encouragement I need. I appreciate each and every one of you reading my blog. You spur me to greatness.

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
