What a day! I took my first picture of new friends that I hugged. They were shopping at Kroger and sounded like they were having so much fun! I think maybe I wanted to receive some of their joy rather than the other way around. There were actually 4 of them. I tried shrinking down so we could all be seen, but well…it didn’t quite work that way. Thank you ladies!!
Immediately after the picture was taken I hugged 2 Kroger employees that were assisting me with taking the picture. Thank you both so much and know that you will be seeing me again and again. (just ask your coworkers, I’m certain they will know who you are talking about)
As I was making my purchase at Kohl’s, the cashier looks at my address and say, “Hey! I live on that road!” What a coincidence. Turns out I know right where she lives and it is 6 houses down from me. I love making connections like this. I was thrilled to give her a hug and told her all she needs to do is look for my bumper sticker. To my delight, she already knew it. 🙂
The only thing I had to do today at BJ’s Wholesale Club was make a return. The return desk is so high that I just couldn’t see a way to hug those ladies. So, on my way out, there is always someone checking receipts at the door. I had nothing for him to check, but stopped by anyway. This would be my 3rd time hugging this particular employee. He is so sweet and always has a smile on his face. I let him know that I just wanted to give him a hug. I told him that I hoped someday he will get to know me so that as soon as I walk in the door he knows he is about to get hugged.
Dancing and hugs? A day doesn’t get much better than that.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
