Day 122 – Private Moments in Public Places

16 HUGS, 7 children, 9 adults (1 Mom, 1 Stepdad, 2 new friends at Danbury Mall, 1 long distance friend, 2 friends of my Mom, 1 Sister, 1 Brother-in-law)

I am nearing the end of my vacation, but there is still so much visiting to do! I was excited today to see friends that I have not seen in a long time. I almost didn’t recognize the kids they were so grown. The oldest took a keen interest in my blog, but I think it was more due to her desire to have a website to broadcast her own web show. Regardless, I got plenty of hugs from her and her brother. I expected nothing less from their mother.

While waiting for my friend, I witnessed a very private moment in a very public place. A man in his 40s embraced an older man in the most tender manner. His eyes were closed and it was obvious he was oblivious to all around him except for this older man who was perhaps his father or father figure. Would I have noticed this before my blog? I don’t know that I would have. I know that in the future, including after my year is up, I will become more aware of these moments. They encourage me and remind me that there is kindness, caring and love all around if we choose to be a witness to it.

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.

  1. hey this is my private blog name… staff at work seem to stalk me.
These private moments like the one you observed keep me believing in the goodness of the world….it is apparent that you are changing….noticing more of the world and those in it….becoming a reader of body language and of the secret languages we use to communicate without ever saying a world……………….have a great week…Pam from radical ramblings and thoughts.
