8 HUGS, 3 children, 5 adults (1 husband, 2 neighborhood friends, 2 Hilton employees)
This morning the kids and I went down for our free breakfast. To my surprise the employee from last night was still there. I gave her an incredulous looked and asked if she had been there all night. She had gone home for a nap. A nap! Seriously, my biggest complaints were traffic, no pool and no room service? I really need to get my priorities straight. She still had a super sweet smile on her face this morning as my son and I hugged her and thanked her for all she did for us. She even sent us off with a few extra cookies for the 2nd half of our road trip.
The other employee I hugged was the waitress at the breakfast buffet. Again, another one with a huge smile on her face that appeared not only grateful to be doing her job, but like she truly enjoyed it. Our breakfast was just that much more enjoyable because she was a part of it.
As we were pulling in to our neighborhood, a few neighbors were waiting for the school bus so we immediately got welcome home hugs. What a great feeling. It is always nice to feel so loved and missed.
Finally, I got the hug I have been waiting a week for. My husband’s welcome home hug. It was a quite tight squeeze, but I get it. I missed you too, honey.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
