7 HUGS, 4 children, 3 adults (1 husband, 1 neighborhood friend, 1 owner at Smith’s Nursery)
My day started bright and early this morning. Actually, it may still have been last night. 4 year old has a habit of walking in to our room when he is scared at night but not actually waking us. He just stands there. *crickets* Actually, it is a little creepy. A little Redrum style (if you have seen the Shining, you KNOW what I am talking about.) I wake up knowing that someone is standing there and it is not the most pleasant way to wake up. I waited to see what he would do. Eventually, he laid down on our floor and fell asleep. Ok, fine. I was too tired to do anything about it.
18 month old then takes it upon himself to wake up at 4AM and Party Like A Rock Star. (those of you who have regular nightly routines of this…I am sooooooo sorry for you and your lost sleep) By 6:30 he finally fell back to sleep, but it doesn’t really make sense for me to at that point. So, I got up and made pancakes. Logical, right? I immediately wondered how I would be able to give hugs today, I knew I would be just too damn tired. Fortunately, I follow inspiring people on twitter. Their posts served as a reminder of all I have and my abilities to overcome adversity. (I was so tired this morning I actually considered sleeplessness an adversity.)
Speaking of all I have, check out these veggies….how could I not want to hug the amazing people that supply this gorgeous produce to me?
As I am writing this I am shocked at just how much energy I had all day (without any additional caffeine to boot). Here’s to hoping for a FULL night sleep tonight. *crosses fingers*
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
