13 HUGS, 4 children, 9 adults (1 husband, 5 neighborhood friends, 1 Lowe’s Foods employee, 2 new friends)
By 9 am I already had 3 neighborhood hugs under my belt. By 9 AM! On a Saturday! Do you get that? It’s a weekend people. By then I had already let out my neighbor’s dogs, ran 3.6 miles, bought a porch set and hugged 3 friends. Now, I am not one to brag, but come on! That felt good.
Later in the day I did some mystery shopping. It’s a little side job I do occasionally for some fun money. Anyway, I was shopping for Beyond Hello today and had to visit 8 stores at the Carolina Premium Outlets. I have to keep a professional demeanor with the employees at the stores I visit so that I can provide non biased factual information on the interaction that we have. The first store I went to was Ann Taylor. The employee I interacted with was amazing. No, beyond amazing. She obviously adored her job and went above and beyond to create the best experience possible for the customers she served. How am I not supposed to hug her? It was so hard to walk away without a hug. I came *thisclose* to hugging her anyway. But, this was my job, so I didn’t want to risk jeopardizing it. Next time I am at those outlets, she better believe she is getting one big hug from me!
This evening my family was invited to a dinner party. We were introduced to new friends and can you believe that one of them grew up in the same small town that hubby and I used to call home? Small world! We had such a great time. Maybe it was the free flowing drinks but as we left it was as natural to hug the new friends as it was to hug our neighbors that we have known now for 4 years.
Today was a day so full of love, life, friends and hugs. I kinda don’t want it to end….
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
