13 HUGS, 4 children, 9 adults (1 husband, 8 friends)
Slowly but surely my voice is emerging. Enough that I felt comfortable hugging friends, not enough to feel comfortable asking new friends (strangers) for hugs. Hopefully by tomorrow my croaks and squeaks will be gone.
I was just sitting here thinking about the fact that I was interviewed back in August for the incredible blog by Hug It Forward. I wasn’t sure when the interview would be published and in the meantime, had forgotten all about it. On a whim this evening I decided to see if it was ever published and it was! 🙂 You can check it out here.
Hug It Forward is a non-profit organization that raises money to empower communities to build schools using bottles and other trash. They call them bottle schools. 100% of the money they raise is used toward building the schools thanks to private donors that fund their operating costs.
The thing I like best about them is that you can track hugs through their website. With each hug that you give Hug It Forward‘s sponsors will donate $1 toward the bottle schools. Hugs AND raising money? Come on, it doesn’t get much better.
My farthest hug so far was from New Zealand! If you sign up, please be sure to let me know so I can hug you too.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
