13 HUGS, 4 children, 9 adults (1 husband, 2 sisters, 2 brothers in law, 1 Mom, 1 Stepdad, 1 Mother in law, 1 neighborhood friend)
I actually debated for a quick second heading out on Black Friday. All of my family was heading out to get a few deals. Of course, that meant that we would be dragging 5 kids shopping with us. I just couldn’t have that. So, I volunteered to stay home with the kids. It was a tough decision to make, but someone had to do it. Instead of braving the crowds and wondering if I could manage a few hugs, I stayed home with my hubby and Stepdad. This is how the day panned out:
10am: Prepare spaghetti sauce to simmer on the stove all day
12noon: Prepare lunch
1pm: Head outside with beer in hand to watch the kids play and my stepdad fix up some outdoor chairs
2pm: Play a little catch with hubby and boys
3pm: Head inside for a movie/quiet time
Yeah. I am pretty sure I got the good end of the bargain. Now, sisters and I just got back from a walk where I got a neighbor hug, Mother in law is here and we are getting ready to sit down to a big beautiful spaghetti dinner. My gratitude does not end with Thanksgiving.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
