9 HUGS, 3 children, 1 7-month old, 5 adults (1 husband, 1 Mother in law, 1 grade school friend, 1 grade school friend’s mom, 1 neighborhood friend)
TGFF – Thank goodness for friends/family. This morning while I was helping my grade school friend move from an apartment to a house, my mother in law was at the mall with the kids. 5 year old wasn’t quite himself, but was excited to see the 7 month old, so we agreed to all meet for lunch after moving a few truckloads. By the time I got to the mall 5 year old was asleep on the couch in the play area. I attempted to wake him for lunch to no avail. He apparently had just had a febrile seizure. He has been getting them ever since he was 1 any time he spikes a fever. Ugh. We remained at the mall until I I was comfortable that he was coherent again and ready for the drive to the drugstore for Tylenol then the ride home. Meanwhile, my Mother in law was invaluable helping to take care of 21 month old and running in to the store to get the medicine for me while I babied my baby.
I needed to pick up my veggies still, but was not comfortable leaving my boy. A neighbor kindly offered to pick them up for me so I could remain at home. I am so grateful for this. I don’t think I would have had the energy to make it to the farm. Although I have witnessed these seizures 5 other times, they never get any easier and they are emotionally draining. I apologize in advance if I fall asleep at while typing this… All I can say is, Thank Goodness For Friends/Family.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
