5 HUGS, 1 child, 4 adults (1 husband, 3 staff at Ralph Wilson Stadium)
Things don’t always go as planned, especially with children. We knew going to the Buffalo Bills game that there was a possibility that 5 year old would not last. He gets a little overwhelmed at the games, but swore he was ready. I am so glad we gave him another opportunity to prove himself. Because for a good 5 minutes he had a BLAST!
As we were heading out of the stadium a caring staff member at the Ralph Wilson Stadium approached us and asked if everything was ok. We let him know that our seats were a little too close to the field and it was a little overwhelming. He then proceeded to ask if we would like to see about switching our seats. Really? He led us to another staff who walked us to customer service where they proceeded to look in to getting us different seats. At this point it was clear that unless we were inside (like one of the box seats) no seat would be good enough. Although they weren’t able to help, just how much they were willing to go through without us ever asking brought a tear to my eye. Talk about treating your fans well. I gave great big hugs to those staff in appreciation for trying to turn our experience around.
I was ready though. I may not have had the opportunity to pull my sign out at the game, but here’s what it would have looked like:
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
