5 HUGS, 2 children, 3 adults (1 husband, 1 waste disposal employee, 1 Kmart employee)
I watched my neighbor’s children while they went to a party (It was close enough for them to walk to – trust me this is important). They were gone slightly longer than expected. When they returned for their children I was met with profuse apologies and
a few too many loving kisses (who am I kidding there is no such thing as too many). Let’s just say they really enjoyed themselves at the party and drank themselves silly lost track of time. How could I be angry at 2 people who clearly had such a great time and really let loose which they don’t get the opportunity to do very often. Especially when the stories started flying. Turns out that my neighbor (through some coaxing of another neighbor) went around hugging everyone at the party. Not just one hug, but two! She would hug them the first time saying, “That is for Melinda” and the second time for herself. Supposedly there are pictures, but I still haven’t received any. (ahem) Hopefully I will get them soon and be able to post them on Facebook. I am truly moved by this and am always humbled and in awe of the effect one person can have on others. Hooray for hug awareness!
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
