11 HUGS, 3 children, 7 adults (1 husband, 3 neighborhood friends, 1 therapist, 2 employees at Whole Foods)
On Saturday I received a message stating ‘Tis the Hugging Season’. Yes, it most certainly is! I spent the morning singing along to Christmas carols and feeling oh so happy. Today was my monthly therapy session (aka monthly life lesson) and after hugging my therapist, I was off to Whole Foods. I was so giddy with Christmas cheer I almost started just grabbing people and hugging them. Then I realized that that may not be the best way to spread hug awareness. Instead, I enjoyed a very pleasant conversation with the cashier and proceeded to hug him and the employee who helped bag my groceries. By this time the next person in line was getting ready to pay (she didn’t have many items). I caught her eye as I was leaving and the joy on her face was unmistakeable. How amazing would it be if the day came when someone caught me in the act of hugging and decided they could not be left out? To hear someone say “hey, can I get one of those?” would be like music to my ears. It could happen, right?
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
