12 HUGS, 8 children, 4 adults (1 husband, 3 neighborhood friends)
YAY! My friends week continues. I got the chance to see 3 neighborhood friends that I haven’t seen since the holidays. I know, crazy right? I mean we live right next to each other. In the meantime I thought that I might have time to run to the grocery store in the afternoon (remember? no food in the house) but well, Karate Kid was on and that took precedence.
While the kids were watching it, I was scouring the pantry trying to figure out what I could possibly make for dinner. Pancakes? Egg Sandwiches with no cheese? Hot dogs with no buns? Oh crap. It was not looking good. Finally, I took my chances and peeked in the freezer. Lo and behold there was a tupperware container. *angels singing* “Aaaaaaaahhhhhh” Leftover pulled pork. AND there was enough for everyone. AND I had enough rolls (for the rest of the family, not me. That’s ok, I don’t always eat bread. sigh) AND I had french fries. Dinner solved. It was back to the friends business.
I love that on weekdays the kids tend to congregate at my house. I adore the time I get to spend with them and I know that usually if they are at my house, I will get a chance to see (and hug) their parents too. So, I spent the rest of my afternoon, blowing bubbles, snapping pictures, playing hide and seek and just acting like a kid again. Pure bliss.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
