Day 276 – Friday The 13th

4 HUGS, 2 children, 2 adults (1 husband, 1 therapist)

My head is going to explode. Ahhh!!!! Who knew having to choose a school for your kindergartner would be so tough? I am fortunate enough to live in a county in North Carolina where we have options, but part of me longs for the days of, “You live on Smith Road, so you go to Smith school.” I just have to keep reminding myself that my son will end up in the school he is meant to go to. *deep breath in through the nose out through the mouth*

I was so wrapped up in the stress of this kindergarten madness that I am pretty sure I forgot to hug my neighbor today when I dropped my kids off. (sorry S. I promise I will make it up to you!) Fortunately I got an amazing hug from my therapist today. Turns out, we may not be seeing each other for a while. I may have graduated. Yeah me!

So then this evening, hubby came over to me and kissed the top of my head. Here I am thinking my day has really turned around when he says, “Did you take a shower today?” “yes, why?” “Oh, you just smell different.” Great. My apologies to anyone I have hugged the past few days because apparently I stunk. Wake me when tomorrow is here.

Please send virtual hugs my way.

  1. Maybe it was the leftover Zumba class smell. I’m sure Chris didn’t mean anything really bad. I’m sorry you are having such a tough time picking out a school for Cooper but you are right in knowing he will be in the school he was meant to be in. {{{HUGS}}}
