11 HUGS (so far), 2 children, 8 adults (1 husband, 1 neighborhood friend, 6 Unity Church of the Triangle friends)
Of course I kept hugging yesterday. It was National (and International) Hugging Day. Hubby and I went out for our date last night. Didn’t we look good? We first went to Porter’s Tavern where they let us know it was a 1 – 1 1/2 hour wait. Well, we were without kids and not in a rush, so we decided to wait. As hubby made his way over to the bar, I stayed behind to hug the hosts. They were both thrilled and gave great hugs. Well, about 5 minutes in to my dirty martini one of them calls out for us. Our table was ready. Hmm… that wait was no more than 10 minutes. Was it the power of the hug? Hubby and I had a great laugh about that one.
Then, we arrived at The Flying Saucer (yes, I have signed up to try 200 beers just so I can get my own saucer on the ceiling) where I proceeded to get 3 more hugs from the waitress, a bouncer and a new friend we met who happened to be there by himself. All in all an amazing evening and I only had a slight headache in the morning.
Now, today I enjoyed my many hugs that I always get while at church, but my day is not over. Book Club tonight! Woo Hoo! I wanted to get my post in before the girls come in case we run later than midnight (doesn’t usually happen, but it has been known to). Don’t worry, I will fill you all in on that tomorrow.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
