Day 297 – Firsts

6 HUGS, 3 children, 3 adults (1 husband, 2 neighborhood friends)

One of my favorite things about having children is watching them go through all of their firsts. The first smile, laugh, giggle, crawl and walk. Beyond that there are a ton of other firsts that are equally significant in my eyes. One of them being the first time I hear my child say, “I love you” to me. *swoon* Another significant first just happened today. 23 month old gave me a kiss and as I was getting ready to walk away I heard him say, “Hug”. I look back at his arms wide open, silly grin on his face and my heart just melted. Now, if I can only remember these times when he is screaming…sigh.

On another note, you will be happy to hear I cleaned the house today! Yeah! There were firsts all around!

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.

  1. Glad you stop and smell the roses and appreciate the firsts, sometimes we get bogged down with insignificant stuff during our days and forget to enjoy what is going on around us. Glad you didn’t and had a special day with “23 month old”. πŸ™‚
