11 HUGS, 4 children, 1 10-month old, 6 adults (1 husband, 1 employee at Carfix, 1 Walmart employee, 1 neighborhood friend, 2 grade school friends)
Hubby calls this a cop out, I call this just fun. I have asked my girlfriend to write for me tonight. I want someone else’s perspective on my year of hugs. Please be kind to her…
Oh my! Here goes nothing! Hugging is very important. I for one can tell a lot about a person after hugging them. There are bear hugs, limp hugs, quick hugs, really long hugs…. You get my drift. I feel like a hug is never simple.
I have always been a hugger. The first time I hug a friend, is the day I feel like my friendship is cemented. Since moving to NC I have not been surrounded by my close friends. I have had to start all over again. It is harder to know when to hug someone. But just last week my new friend and I were finishing up a play date with our girls and we organically hugged goodbye. Driving away I felt like I had just made a really good friend. These things take time. And I stand by my statement above, I feel like a hug is never simple.
Please accept this blog as our virtual hug to you.
