4 HUGS, 2 children, 2 adults (1 husband, 1 mom in law)
We did it! We stayed out all the way until midnight last night (this morning?)!!! Guess we still have some life in us yet. We had a wonderful dinner at La Volta where we got to sit right at the edge of Fayetteville Street. We had beautiful views of the city and got to do tons of people watching. Afterwards we went to Rum Runners which is a dueling piano bar. We laughed and sang and drank all night long. And, I even got 3 hugs there!
All night hubby and I kept commenting on this one table of ladies that were apparently celebrating a birthday. One of the ladies in particular was dancing and laughing and just completely crazy. She didn’t seem overly drunk, just having a really great time. I told hubby I wanted to hug her and just as I was getting up to let her know how joyful we found her, I got a tap on my shoulder. With a sweet smile this lovely person says to me, “So sorry to interrupt, but I just wanted to let you know that I thought you two were on a first date. You were having so much fun and enjoying each other so much. Then, I noticed your wedding rings and well, I just think it’s so cute.” Huh, would you look at that. Just as I was prepared to share a compliment and hope to make someone smile, someone else did it to me. I love that in the hopes of bringing kindness and love to others this year it has been returning to me tenfold.
Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
