New Directions

0 New Hugs

So I have been approached by more people who have been inspired enough to possibly join my hugging journey! One in particular asked in what way she could help. I am so glad she asked because that caused me to sit down and really think about what I may want out of the future of my blog. Here was my response:

‘At this point I am kind of letting my hug journey organically grow. It ended on April 13 and I didn’t have any further direction on where I wanted to take it, so I just kept writing. All of a sudden, one of my followers, Sharon, decided to begin a hug journey of her own and she agreed to grace my blog with her stories. Another faithful reader may begin her own hug journey as well. I am not sure what this will mean for the future, but I love the idea of a community hug blog. Somewhere where people can share their own hug stories or just stories of love and kindness. I would love to see a site that encouraged people to become much more connected with those around them in their physical communities. I can only imagine how much kinder this world would be.

If you would be interested, I would love for you to become a guest blogger on my site. As often or as little as you would like. My husband shared with me a TED talk he saw where it was discussed that one person on their own will not affect change. It’s when others begin to follow in their footsteps that the change truly begins to take place. Oh man….I am so excited for the possibilities.’

So, soon I will be welcoming another one (or two) guest bloggers to my site. In the meantime, for those of you who have already shared a story with me, please email/facebook/tweet me if you would be willing to let me add it to the site (trust me I still have it. I have kept them all!) Great things are happening here. Together we will make magic.

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
