Where Does The Time Go?

3 New Hugs (Hubby’s coworker, 2 coworker spouses)

There may have been more than 3 new hugs since Friday but honestly I can’t remember. It feels like it was a year ago. You know how when so much happens in 2 or 3 days it feels like a year? That was my weekend. I don’t even remember what I did Friday night, but Saturday was spent working around the house (trying not to work up too much of a sweat because our downstairs air conditioner wasn’t working), then going to a wedding. Hubby’s eyes were bothering him, but we thought it was grease that spit up at him while cooking. Sunday was spent at the urgent care where we learned that hubby had a severe case of poison ivy and I have spent the last 2 days trying to baby him the best I can.

The good news is that he can now see again, the air conditioner is fixed (and at a relatively low cost), and the wedding was fantastic. My favorite part? Meeting a great new friend. She was hubby’s coworker’s wife. We instantly hit it off and spent the whole evening talking. It was 104 degrees at this outdoor wedding yet we all had so much fun it was barely noticeable (besides the 10 bottles of water we each drank). Hubby and I even stayed a little later than his other coworkers just to spend a little alone time by the lake.

This is life. Full of ups and downs, excitements and frustrations. It was bliss.

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.

  1. Melinda, I noticed you wrote that your hubby had poison ivy. Although he’s probably recovered from it by now just wanted to let you know that you can get a homeopathic remedy for it from most stores that carry health foods, supplements, etc. One that I like is rhus tox and is listed as used for arthritis but it works great for poison ivy. When I use it the itch is gone within fifteen-thirty minutes and I am highly allergic to poison ivy.
