One Proud Mama

9 New Hugs (2 new friends at a birthday party, 6 new church friends, 1 new friend at O2 gym)

Thank you Reverend Neusom for making me turn 50 shades of red yesterday. No really, that color looks good on my face. It was actually probably one of the proudest moments of my life. Little did I know my minister was going to use me as an example during his sermon. (good thing I decided to go at the last minute) Without using my name he described me as an example of how to conduct yourself in a way that tells people how you want to be treated. At least I think that is what he was saying. I got so flustered I kind of missed most of what he was saying. Oops. I can’t think of a more humbling, proud moment than hearing your own life being used as an example at a church sermon. I think I have done something really, really right.

To top off the weekend, my oldest has finally faced his fear of swimming and was a fish in the water. My youngest was praised more than once for being a great hugger and he is only 2 1/2. All I kept thinking all weekend was, “My soul is bursting at the seams.” With love, pride, humility, and joy.

What is your proudest moment? I would love to hear about it.

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
