Mother Hugs

This comes from my good friend across the globe, Shabana. She has an awesome stylish blog you should really check out.  She began following My Year Of Hugs close to the beginning of my original year and was always so encouraging and loving. So, of course I reached out to her to learn what her favorite personal hug story is. In her own words:

“Ok, here it is. I don’t remember any one hug that particularly stands out. But my favorite hugs are the ones I get everyday from my mom. When I wake up annoyingly early in the morning, bleary-eyed and tired, she’s there in the kitchen to hand me my honey lemon tea and a hug. When I get home from a long, tiresome day at work, she’s there to hug and kiss me. If I didn’t get these hugs from her on a daily basis, I don’t know what I’d do! Her hugs make life so much gentler, love-filled and easier.”

What a great reminder to never forget about those hugs we may take for granted. The ones that we receive everyday that we would likely be lost without.

Please accept this blog as my virtual hug to you.
